Ann Marie Miller is the Executive Director of the Dayton Community Development Corporation in Dayton, Texas. Miller has over 15 years of experience working in Economic Development. Before accepting her position at DCDC, Miller worked as the Executive Director of the Buda Economic Development Corporation and as an Economic Development Consultant for the City of Uhland. Miller started her economic development in Ada, Oklahoma, where she served as Vice President of the Ada Jobs Foundation.
Miller was one of the youngest people to receive the Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation and is a graduate of the Spears School of Business at Oklahoma State University. Miller also graduated from the University of Oklahoma's Economic Development Institute.
Miller is originally from Oklahoma and is a registered Chickasaw citizen. At the age of nine, Miller received a Governor's Commendation for her work with the Governor's Easter Egg Hunt for the Blind. Miller was selected as Oklahoma's Young Careerist in 2008 by the OK Federation of Business & Professional Women.
In 2015, Miller was selected as one of the Top 40 Under 40 Economic Developers by Development Counsellors International. Miller is a member of the International Economic Development Council, Southern Economic Development Council, Texas Economic Development Council, Team Texas, Dayton Rotary, and the OSU Alumni Association. Miller also served on the Young Professional Advisory Committee for the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) and now serves as the Vice-Chair of the Membership Development Advisory Committee for IEDC.
JAIME HERNANDEZ - ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST, DATA & ANALYTICS
Jaime Hernandez is the Economic Development Specialist of the Dayton Community Development Corporation (DCDC) in Dayton, Texas. Hernandez started working for DCDC during August 2018. Prior to that, he completed an internship with the Katy Area Economic Development Council as a Data Mining Intern during 2018. He also did other internships for the Research and Business Development Center as Research Associate, Junior Analyst, and Project Mentor.
Hernandez received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Brigham Young University - Idaho with an emphasis on Entrepreneurship in December 2016 and a Masters in Economic Development and Entrepreneurship from the University of Houston - Victoria in May 2019 with a 3.9 GPA. Hernandez has completed the first and second year of the Community Development Institute classes, a Basic Analyst Training from the Council for Community and Economic Research, and the Basic Economic Development Course from the International Economic Development Council. He is also a member of the International Business Honor Society, Beta Gamma Sigma.
Originally, Hernandez is from Mexico but loves Texas and its people. He likes to spend time with his family and attends church every Sunday. He also likes game nights with friends and relatives.
